Paragliding and Microlighting

Paragliding and microlighting, which is similar to hang gliding, have recently become available in Beijing. A handful of clubs offer professional lessons and coaching.

Shisanling Reservoir (十三陵水库) is a popular spot for such activities.

Bungee Jumping

Beijing also offers its share of extreme sports, including several bungee jumping locations. Two such locations are the Ten Crossings scenic area (Shidu 十渡) on the Juma River and Qinglong Gorge (青龙峡) in Hairou District. While Ten Ferries features the first bungee platform built in China, Qinglong Gorge has the highest platform, at 68 meters. Prices are reasonable, quoted at approximately 150 RMB (15€).
