Lohao City is an organic food chain store. Fruits, vegetables, cerals, meat, dairy products, bread etc. Everything is organic. You can also find cans, wine, biscuits, fruit juices, and other Western products. Products are a little bit pricier than in other shops.
"L'arbre du voyageur" is the only French bookshop in Beijing.They stock a wide range of books, novels, cartoons, all the dailies, as well as reviews in French. There are over 19,000 items. The prices are the same as in France, pre- tax. It is also possible to order books, it takes a couple of weeks.
The best and most reputable place in Beijing to buy fabric is at the market in Muxiyuan. It's easy to get lost in this enormous material market which sells fabrics of course (silk, cashmere, cotton, velvet, real and fake fur etc), but accessories as well (buttons, zips etc). It is essential though, to search for the best quality. Prices are reasonable, but think about bargaining.

Pingpong is a free 8 page monthly colour newspaper all about French cuisine in Beijing. Started in February 2007 after a bet by Nicolas Carré, both sommelier and manager of the French restaurant "La Taverne", this newspaper is published in French and Chinese, and paid for by Beijing's French restaurants.
For only 80 RMB, you can get an annual ticket to visit 52 museums in the capital free of charge, as well as benefiting from a 50% reduction on the entrance prices in a further 36. For the most part, you can even get another person in for free too. Entrance is free for children under 1.20m.
