Houhai is organising its first dragon boat race

The Dragon Boat Festival or Duanwujie was on June 8th in 2008. To celebrate, the Xicheng District Sports Office organized dragon boat races for the employees of several Beijing companies at Houhai's Sailing Club. It gave the opportunity to discover this traditional sport in the heart of the capital.


Nanshan, an international ski resort

About sixty kilometers from Beijing, you can find Nanshan, one of the largest ski resorts in northern China. If the hills cannot be compared to European mountains, Nanshan remains the perfect place to indulge in winter sports.


Hiking : Beijing off the beaten track

Created in 2001, Beijing Hikers run weekly hiking trips around the Beijing surroundings. Founded by Gary and Huilin Pinnegar, both experienced hikers, this club enables people to discover the city from a new angle.

Beijing HHH

Founded in 1979, the Beijing Hash House Harriers (Beijing HHH) organise a weekly run through the Chinese capital, with free flowing beer at the end of the course for the thirsty participants.It’s a great way to see the city whilst doing sport, as well as to meet new people.
